SMALL INTESTINE - Showing lymphatic permeation by tumour and lymph node metastases

Description
Each specimen is a loop of small intestine showing, on the serosal surface, a number of minute yellow nodules lying in the lymphatics, which are distended by this material. The lymph nodes in the mesentery are also enlarged and infiltrated by tumour. The primary tumour in this instance was thought to be in the lung.
